Sidney WALKER, 1872 – 19##

 

Sidney J was born in 1872 at Clifton, Bristol, England. His father was Charles Palmer Walker, a Foreman at the Bristol Waggon Works. His mother was Sarah Bridges, the daughter of Joshua Bridges from Worcester.

         

In the 1881 census he was found at 163 Stapleton Road with one brother and six sisters.

 

He became a coach painter and stayed in Bristol when his father moved to Gloucester. He married Sarah and they are found at 11 Somerset Square, Bristol in 1901.

 

They had two daughters and one son:

·         Dora Beatrice Walker, born at Barton Regis in the Third Quarter of 1895.

·         Percival Sidney G Walker, born Bristol in the Second Quarter of 1900.

·         Alma Morton Walker, born Bristol on 23rd August 1905.

                                                            

The family were found at 95 Grosvenor Road Bristol in 1911, Sidney was described as a Coach Painter and Coach Builder. Sarah and Dora were showing as Tailoresses.

 

Sarah may have died in Bristol in the Fourth Quarter of 1929. Sidney may have died in Nottingham in the same year but in Nottingham.

 

Dora married William D Johnson in Winchester in the Second Quarter of 1919.

 

Alma Married Albert J George (a scrap metal merchant, born on 8th September 1902) in Lambeth in the Second Quarter of 1925. They had one daughter; Marguerite A, born in Bristol on 1st June 1925. They were found at 6 Selby Terrace, Plymouth in 1939.

 

Marguerite married William G T Collings in Weston-Super-Mare in the First Quarter of 1947, and had a son; Terence K G, born in Weston-Super-Mare in the Second Quarter of 1948. Terence marries Joanna A Tidmarsh in Bromsgrove in the Third Quarter of 1972.

 

Alma died in Weston-Super-Mare in the Fourth Quarter of 1980.
