Notes:

         Ships like Owl, for the Liverpool service, with a raised fo'c'sle, deckhouse and a navigating bridge complete with wheel plus cowl ventilators. She had compound engines, introduced to the Burns' fleet in 1870.

 

         The Burns & MacIver agreement ended in 1895 and Owl ran for C.MacIver & Co. (Liverpool & Clyde SN Co Ltd.) for a few years.
